#AMVCA2017 The 5th edition show was a great platform to reward hard work and excellence in Africa film industries.

Tonight, There were 29 different categories and winners, among them are the following:

(1) the first #AMVCA2017 Award goes to  Hakeem Ajibola and Pereken Odom in "Oloibiri"

(2) Best costume designer in TV series/ movies: Pat Egwurube in '76'

(3) Best Art Director in TV series/ movies: Pat Nebo in '76'

(4) Best Sound Editor in TV series/ movies: Guy Steer in 'vaya'

(5) Best Picture Editor in TV series/movies : Nnodim Chigozie and Paula Peterson in 'Oloibiri'

(6) Best Lighting Designer in movie / TV series: Elliot Sewape in '93 days'

(7) Best cinematographer in TV series/ movies: Lance Fewer in 'happiness is a four letter word'

(8) Best short film or online video: Ogo Okpue in 'cat face'

(9) best documentary: Uguu Carlini in 'Alison'

(10) Recognition Award for Mnet Series in the category:
Best Actress in Comedy : Deborah in 'hustle'

(11) Recognition Award for Mnet Series in the category: Best Actor in comedy : samuel ajibola in 'the johnson'

(12) Recognition Award for Mnet Series in the category: Best Actress in a drama: Outama in 'the Hush'

(13) Recognition Award for Mnet Series in the category: best actor in a drama: David Jones David in 'Hotel Majestic'

(14) best TV series: 'TINSEL'

(15) BEST indigenous language movie - swahilli : ZILIZALALA

(16) BEST indigenous language movie - yoruba: SOMEWHERE IN THE DARK

(17) BEST indigenous language movie - HAUSA:

(19) BEST TV SHOW: JENIFA'S DIARY - FUNKE AKINDELE

(20) Best soundtrack : 'the encounter'

(21) best supporting actress: Ebele in 'four one love'

(22) best supporting actor: Rotimi Salami in 'Just not Married'

(23) best Actress in a comedy: Funke Akindele in 'Jenifa's Diary'

Funke Akindele 'Jenifans' stole the show with two big awards in Best Actress in a comedy and Best TV show categories.

(24) best actor in TV comedy: Imeh Bishop Umoh in 'the boss is mine'

(25) Amvca 2017 trailblazer award - Samkele

(26) Amvca 2017 industries merit award goes to the nollyhood veteran/legend : China Okpala
